S3E2 - Alan, 39. NYC
This week’s featured interview requested an audio-only interview and asked that his real name not be used and with good reason. “Alan” was excommunicated from his family and church and has been fired three different times because of his sexuality. Needless to say, growing up Mormon in places like California’s conservative hotbed of the Inland Empire and rural Idaho was not easy. But these challenges have made Alan a fighter and a survivor. He now lives in New York City and has the freedom he’s always wanted. He’s even helped create a community of “nudies” who enjoy clothes-free social events in an effort to connect without the distraction of things like phones and, well, clothing.
